My Goals for My Blog Growth for December 2025
I started blogging in May of this year, but wasn’t until around the end of August that I decided to start taking my blog growth seriously. What I saw through the next few months was incredible and it started something inside me that I love. This blog post will show you my blog income and growth, what worked, and what didn’t, and how I am planning on heading into 2026.
My goals for December were:
- Blog Views: 5,000
- Pinterest Views: 200,000
Did I make it?
Blog Website Traffic For December 2025
- Page Views: 1.95K (from 3.34K)
- Sessions (individual visitors): 1.62K (from 3.07K)

Top Blog Traffic Sources (by sessions):
- Pinterest: 571 (from 985)
- Direct: 485 (from 557)
- RSS (Really Simple Syndication — an automatically updated feed you can set up on Pinterest, etc): 345 (from 1,329)

For December 2025, I had 1,436 new users (people who had never visited my site before — Google Analytics tracks this with IP addresses). Of these new users, 610 were referred through an outside link.
This means 42% of my new visitors found my blog through links I shared on socials.

Reflecting on my December 2025 Blog Traffic
So looking at these numbers, it was pretty disappointing to be honest. I was nowhere near my goal, and in fact my traffic decreased by essentially half in almost every regard. At first glance I was frustrated, sad, and wondered if I was doing anything right.
But a deeper look into my analytics told a different story.
My traffic wasn’t down because my content wasn’t any good. The people who were visiting my site were actually staying longer and reading more. For example:

The screen shots above show one thing consistently. My traffic baseline was strong and still growing; I had returning users, more search engine clicks, and more email clicks. My new users were going down down because of one thing: I slowed down on my blog posting and Pinterest sharing.
And to be honest, that feels right. It’s the holidays and that time should be spent slowing down and enjoying time with family. And I assumed all my hard work in preparation would carry me through the Christmas season with my same growth trajectory I had been experiencing through the fall. And in a way, I was right, but my seasonal success was not my baseline. My hard work did carry me through, but it was at my baseline numbers. And as a new blogger, that was very humbling.
Pinterest Performance for December 2025
- Impressions: 92K (was 138K)
- Engagements: 3.7K (was 7.8K)
- Outbound clicks: 1.2K (was 1.7K)
- Saves: 260 (was 564)

Let’s Glow Revenue for December 2025
Blog Income Report
Here is a breakdown of where Let’s Glow sits financially, at the end of my first year of blogging (about six months):

Blog Income & Costs Explained
I have not yet earned enough revenue to break even on my start-up costs for my blog, so I am still in the “investment” stage. This investment is both time and money. But the beauty of blogging is that just a little while of investment can pay off hugely. Check out this blog post here for a more detailed explanation of the costs of starting a blog from my very first income report.
Hosting
I host through Bluehost, because they are the most affordable and they integrate with WordPress which I find to be incredibly user friendly. Sign up through my link here and get exclusive pricing at $1.99 a month!
Domain Purchase
This is a necessary cost for any blogger, and that is your domain purchase (your website name/URL). It is the cost of your little corner of the Internet. Read what happened here when I tried to build my blog around a domain I didn’t own
Storage and Backup
I purchased this through Jetpack after a few months of blogging and realizing that if I were to lose everything, I would be absolutely devastated. For under $100 I can protect my blog and my countless hours of work that I am literally putting my heart and soul into!
Anti-Spam
CleanTalk AntiSpam not only blocks spam but it removes all existing spam once activated. At $17CAD a year this is well worth the investment! It is probably one of the easiest things I have done to protect my site.
Theme Installation
I got my theme from Creative Market and the installation and activation was so easy! From there you customize and design your site appearance and widgets to how you like it and make it your own. Read this blog post here about CSS coding to really make your site exactly how you like it.
Domain Privacy
Peace of mind and privacy is well worth the $15 for the year — this protects your personal information like your name, email, home address, and phone number from being available for anyone to see (this can become public information once you purchase a domain).
Tailwind
Right now my only monthly investment is Tailwind, the leading Pinterest scheduling tool. It is a complete lifesaver for me as someone who wants to spend as little time on screens as possible! For $35USD a month I can schedule hundreds of pins instead of pinning all day every day. Read this blog post here about my Pinterest growth strategy.
Blog Income Explained
Ad Revenue
This month I have not earned any ad revenue, and I was actually rejected by AdSense for a third time. But each rejection is just an opportunity to improve!
Affiliate Income
This month I had a ton of movement on my affiliate links, which was so exciting! Although I made under $15, that is about 75% more than what I made last month, and of course my hope is that I keep earning and growing. I love sharing products that I actually use and love.
Product Sales
This month my product sales were $0.00; this is to be expected, because I have been focusing on my site overall, writing blog posts, my affiliate links, and my social media/Pinterest. Over the summer I started my product shop here I create and sell digital products. I did this with WooCommerce and I absolutely love it.
Examples of products I’m currently selling:
- 26-Week Glow Cleaning Schedule | Simple, Real-Life Routines for Moms
- Weekly Meal Planner (With Shopping List)
- Social Media Guide – A FREE Guide To Getting Your Content SEEN
I am working on expanding my product shop with more resources for overwhelmed moms. Tell me in the comments, what is a product you would love to see here on Let’s Glow?
Blog Income & Growth For 2026 And Beyond
It has been such a crazy year, starting my brand back in March to starting this blog in May, to it now being the start of 2026 and everything I’ve learned along the way. I really love this blog and I am so proud of all the work I have been able to put into it. And that should be the real reason you start something like this — for YOU. Not just for growth and income (although it sure feels good to see those numbers grow!)
As for earning an income and actually seeing a profit, right now my monthly cost is just for Tailwind. That means once my start up costs are earned back, I really don’t need much to earn a profit.
This is why I decided to start sharing these updates and income reports. Not only do the numbers tell the real story, but it reassures other new bloggers that they aren’t alone on a growth journey that may feel slow, or in my case, up and down… especially a lot of our inspiration comes from bloggers who are already successful and are sharing their numbers and income in the tens of thousands or more!
All that said, my goals for January 2026 will be as follows:
- Blog Views: 2,500
- Pinterest Views: 200,000
That might seem high, as that is around 80 views a day when my average right now is only around 25 after the Christmas season cool off. December and January are notoriously slow, the improvements I made on my site may not be reflected on Google yet, and my new seasonal pins on Pinterest may not gain traction yet.
So, honestly given those three things, I would be happy if my blog views hovered around 1,500-2,000… I am still in my first year of blog growth and I am anticipating it to be very volatile after what I saw happen in December.
If you are here to follow along, thank you! And let’s continue on this journey together!
My Glow Timeline
Here is a little timeline for those who are feeling overwhelmed or are curious what their growth journey could look like.
March 2025: Ditched my mommy blogging Instagram page with 10,000 followers to create my Let’s Glow brand. I channelled my focus into intentional motherhood and natural wellness. I narrowed down my affiliate links to only the products I truly love and use every day.
May 2025: Realized I wanted something more, and started my blog (read how here). Reached 225 views, with the biggest referrer being Instagram.
June 2025: Started publishing blog posts and posting on Pinterest. Reached 110 views, with the biggest referrer being Facebook.
July & August 2025: Had a busy summer. Focused on my mental health and struggled with my direction forward managing my online business. July’s views reached 72 and August’s 79, with referrers being about equally Facebook and Instagram.
September 2025: Decided to delete the social media apps for my mental health and focus on my blog and manage my socials with Meta Business Suite. September’s views reached 820, with the biggest referrer being Pinterest, followed by Facebook and then Instagram. Search engine referrals started becoming substantial. Applied for AdSense but didn’t qualify.
October 2025: Continued my new growth strategy. October’s views reached 1,790, with the biggest referrer being Pinterest. Search engine referrals kept increasing. I applied for AdSense for a second time and got rejected again.
November 2025: Took a break from my blog growth strategy and let my hard work work for itself. November’s views reached 3,338, with the biggest referrer being Pinterest. I applied for AdSense for a third time and got rejected again.
December 2025: I took the first half of the month “off” for obvious reasons — it was Christmas! I was disappointed to see my growth slow, but as soon as I got back into my blog growth strategy, I saw those numbers climb up again. I looked deeply into things I could keep improving on my site after my third rejection from AdSense in November; I focused on navigation, SEO, and tightening up empty pages, categories, an tags. I finished the month and the year with a solid baseline. December’s views settled at 1,952.
Sharing My Blog Growth Journey
I decided to start sharing these numbers because as a new blogger, I felt totally overwhelmed (and insecure) with blog growth strategy. But the secret isn’t complicated or hard; it’s just consistency. Blogging is the long game, and most people quit after just a few months. So I wanted to share my journey and my growth in real time, not only so I can see my own progress but so that others can see the reality of starting a blog. You will not reach those 10,000 views a month quickly. It takes time and investment.
If my blog growth posts have helped you, I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
