What Spring Supplements Are (And How To Use Them For Gentle Energy)

If you have been searching for spring supplements for energy and mood, especially as a mom balancing motherhood, homemaking, wellness, and family life, this post is for you.

In this blog post, Iโ€™m sharing the gentle supplements I personally rotate in during spring, how I think about them, and how they fit into a Glow lifestyle rooted in wellness, non-toxic choices, faith, and realistic rhythms for real life.

In this post…

    • How Spring Supplements Can Fit Into Your Lifestyle

Every spring, I notice the same thing in my own life. The days get brighter. The kids want to be outside longer. The house feels lighter after winter. The whole world feels new, fresh, and invigorating, and I feel like I can conquer the world. But shortly after, my body and mood do not always catch up as quickly as the season does. This is where spring supplements come into my own wellness rhythms.

As a Canadian mom, winter tends to linger not just in the weather, but in our energy too. The warm weather comes and goes and spring seems to take an eternity. Slower mornings. Foggy focus. That low-level exhaustion that feels normal because it has been there for months (thanks winter).

Why Spring Can Feel Harder Than It Looks

Spring is supposed to feel energizing. And some moments, it does. But for many of us, it can actually highlight how depleted we feel after winter.

Less sunlight, more indoor time, and a slower rhythm can quietly add up. That is just the nature of winter. But when spring arrives, our schedules naturally speed up, but sometimes our nervous system has not always caught up yet.

And like everything else I share on Let’s Glow, giving yourself grace is imperative during this transition. Especially since where I live, the seasons change four times a year! That mindset shift alone has changed how I approach supplements, wellness, and even homemaking rhythms when the seasons change.

If you are looking for a fresh start to spring, you may like this blog post about my spring cleaning reset, a gentle spring cleaning rhythm over 7 days to give your home a fresh start.

Or you can check it out in the shop here: 7-Day Spring Cleaning Reset Guide | A Warm Weather Reset To Let Winter Go And Welcome Lighter Living

5 Spring Supplements I Personally Return To Each Year

These are not medical recommendations. This is simply what has felt supportive for me as a busy mom navigating seasons, family life, and intentional wellness. Please read my full disclaimer for details.

    1. Vitamin D as sunlight support

After a long Canadian winter, vitamin D is always one of the first thing I remember reach for. I try to take vitamin D during the fall and winter (read more about that here), but busy indoor rhythms mean I often forget, and this winter I tried to spend more time outdoors (read here about how I was inspired by Friluftsliv, Norwegian winter outdoor living), but it didn’t always happen. And that’s okay. So as we shift into spring, I try to get natural sunlight when possible, but supplementing with vitamin D during early spring feels like a bridge to those natural sunny days.

My favourite one right now is this liquid one from Organika.

    2. A gentle B-complex for daily energy

B vitamins are something I notice most on busy or mentally tiring days. When the mental load is high, a balanced B-complex feels supportive without being stimulating.

I like to take it early or mid-afternoon as a little daily boost.

My favourite one is this B-Complex from Organika.

    3. Magnesium for calm

Spring brings longer days, which can sometimes disrupt sleep rhythms (in a good way, maybe?). Magnesium in the evening has become part of my wind-down routine. I keep this on my bedside table so I don’t forget to take it. It’s made such a difference for me for physical and mental calm.

I really like this combination 8-1 magnesium from Organika.

    4. Omega-3s as part of everyday wellness

Omega-3s are one of those things I consider foundational. I never used to take them but I have recently learned how beneficial they can be, especially for women. I don’t like taking the big pills, so I like to take it in liquid form.

I love this one from Metagenics, available on Amazon.

A bottle of liquid Fish Oil EPA-DHA (Omega 3) is pictured from Metagenics. Text along the bottom reads: Shop on Amazon. How to support your mind and body with 5 spring supplements during the season change. Pin it

    5. Saffron for seasonal transitions

Saffron is a new one for me and I first got curious about it after I got diagnosed with ADHD. I don’t reach for it every day, but it’s something I like to have in my cupboard for extra emotional support during stimulating or trying seasons.

I am really liking this one from MiNaturals, available on Amazon.

How Spring Supplements Can Fit Into Your Lifestyle

I used to think supplements were supposed to be this “quick fix”. But now they are just a tool in my Glow kit.

For me, supplements work best when paired with rhythms like:

    • Morning light and slower starts when possible
    • Simple homemade meals using non-toxic products and real ingredients
    • Gentle movement rather than intense routines
    • A home that supports me through systems, not perfection

A Glow Reminder for the Transition into Spring

You donโ€™t need to bloom overnight. The flowers don’t! (ok, sorry that was too cheesy.)

Energy returns slowly. Mood shifts gradually. Wellness is built through small, repeated choices that work with the season you’re in.

And with that, here is one of my favourite spring memes that comes to mind every single spring.
