My Goals for My Blog for September 2025
At the start of September, I had decided to start taking my blog and Pinterest seriously. What I saw through September was truly amazing (read about my September growth here). I was definitely eager to see that growth snowball into October! But, I definitely had my challenges — I am committed to a more unplugged lifestyle (read about that here) and I deleted my social media apps (I wrote a blog post about that too — read it here). That meant I had to get creative and intentional with how I spent time working on and promoting my blog (read about how I manage my business without the apps here).
I saw such massive growth in September (literally 1,000%!) that I had cautiously optimistic goals for October:
- 3,500 blog views
- 30,000 Pinterest views
Did I make it? Read below to see how my online business actually performed in October 2025.

Blog Website Traffic For October 2025
- Page Views: 1.79K
- Sessions (individual visitors): 1.48K

Top traffic sources (by sessions):
- Pinterest: 682 (from 308)
- Direct: 396 (from 127)
- RSS (Really Simple Syndication — an automatically updated feed you can set up on your email lists, Pinterest, etc): 289
- Facebook: 7 (from 48) – I took a break from posting on Facebook this month
- Search Engines (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo): 55 (from 32)
- Let’s Glow (Interlinking, ex. links on my blog posts): 18

First User Medium/Source
This shows what traffic to my site was a referral (via links on Pinterest, Facebook, etc) or not. This shows me whether my efforts on sharing to my socials are paying off.
For October, I had 1,280 new users (people who had never visited my site before — Google Analytics tracks this with IP addresses). Of these new users, 632 were referred through an outside link.
This means 49% of my new visitors found my blog through links I shared on socials like Pinterest. This is HUGE! And a big reason why sharing your blog on socials should be a very important part of your strategy!

Meta (Facebook & Instagram) & X Performance for October 2025
I decided to start sharing this as well, even though I mainly use Meta and X as a growth and traffic tool for my blog, it is probably worth noting. While I do not have a strategy right now for growing my Facebook, Instagram or X, it is definitely a valuable part of my overall blogging strategy.
(Even though this month I did not focus on sharing on socials at all, I was very focused on just getting blog posts out — you can definitely see that in my numbers this month, and is a big reason why I am not a fan of social media. You take a break and your metrics immediately suffer.)
- Facebook impressions: 222 (down 75%)
- Facebook followers: 24 (no change)
- Instagram impressions: 2.0K (down 48%)
- Instagram followers: 6 new, total 261 (was 264)
- X impressions (new): only available on X premium
- X followers (new): only available on X premium
Monetization For October 2025

What Worked for Blog Growth in October 2025
This month I really focused on just building my library and customizing my site, with a main goal of just getting all my seasonal content out in time (usually 2-3 months before the “season”… so I was barely making it in time for Christmas). It was definitely a grind, as I had to balance it with evergreen content (posts that are applicable all year long, for instance 5 Daily Wellness Habits for Moms).
My strategy was basically just have multiple drafts going at all times. I was aiming for 3-5 posts a week, and by the end of October I published 14 blog posts, with about half of them being seasonal (read those ones here!). It felt like way more though!
And, while I probably spent the most time on my seasonal posts, it was again my recipes that performed the best (more than half my traffic was just for recipes). That again tells me what my audience is looking for! Check out the recipes here.
My Glow Focus for November 2025
For November, I will focus more on evergreen content and developing a gentle social media strategy for sharing my blog. Right now I use Meta Business Suite for Instagram and Facebook and Tailwind for Pinterest, but for X there really isn’t something for that so sharing on there has been difficult as it’s so easy to get stuck in the scroll. (and I’m not touching Threads with a ten foot pole… IYKYK).
I know it can be a big traffic driver, but I have to tread carefully — after having a mommy Instagram with 10,000 followers, and millions of monthly views, I think I have PTSD 😅 I find the noise of social media to be completely overwhelming. So I have to find a balance of sharing my work and getting to know my audience through short form content while also protecting my peace.
For November and December I am going to focus on a gentle rhythm instead of a grind, and aim for 1-2 new blog posts a week with a focus on high quality evergreen content.
November’s Goals in Numbers
This month, I surpassed my original goals of 600 views by December and 1,000 into the new year; but I didn’t quite get there for my new October goal of 3,500.
As for Pinterest, my goal was 30,000 impressions for October. By the end of the month, I surpassed 34,000 (remember my last month was 11,000). This again shows how Pinterest compounds over time, unlike other platforms that require constant daily posting and engagement.
That said, here are my November goals:
- Blog page views: 3,500 (same as last month)
- Pinterest views: 100,000
My Glow Timeline
Here is a little timeline for those who are feeling overwhelmed or are curious what their growth journey could look like.
- March 2025: Ditched my mommy blogging Instagram page with 10,000 followers to create my Let’s Glow brand. I channelled my focus into intentional motherhood and natural wellness. I narrowed down my affiliate links to only the products I truly love and use every day, including Arbonne and Organika. I focused on this for about a month or two and brought my new Instagram page to 300 followers. It currently sits at 262 followers. I also created a Facebook page for cross posting and expanding my audience. It currently sits at 24 followers.
- May 2025: Realized I wanted something more, and started my blog (read how here). Reached 225 views, with the biggest referrer being Instagram.
- June 2025: Started publishing blog posts and posting on Pinterest. Reached 110 views, with the biggest referrer being Facebook.
- July & August 2025: Had a busy summer and had a wedding (after being married for five years!). Focused on my mental health and struggled with my direction forward managing my online business. July’s views reached 72 and August’s 79, with referrers being about equally Facebook and Instagram.
- September 2025: Decided to delete the social media apps for my mental health and focus on my blog and manage my socials with Meta Business Suite. September’s views reached 820, with the biggest referrer being Pinterest, followed by Facebook and then Instagram. Search engine referrals started becoming substantial.
- October 2025: Continued my new growth strategy, and started sharing more through socials about halfway through the month. October’s views reached 1,790, with the biggest referrer being Pinterest. Search engine referrals kept increasing. I applied for AdSense for a second time and got rejected again. I created an X account to share my blog and short form content to engage with my audience. It currently sits at 6 followers.
