My Goals for My Blog for September 2025
At the start of September, I had decided to start taking my blog and Pinterest seriously. Over the summer, I went completely unplugged and it inspired a completely new way of life for me that changed my mental and spiritual health for the better. I learned how to manage my online business without the social media apps… and it performed (literally) 1000% better than it did before. I wrote more about my strategy in this blog post here.
With a new way of life and a new commitment in mind, I decided my goals for September were going to be
- 300 blog views
- 5,000 Pinterest views
Read below to see how my online business actually performed in September.

This shows what traffic to my site was a referral (via links on Pinterest, Facebook, etc) or not. This shows me whether my efforts on sharing to my socials are paying off.
For September, I had 439 new users (people who had never visited my site before — Google Analytics tracks this with IP addresses). Of these 439 new users, 329 were referred through an outside link.
This means 75% of my new visitors found my blog through links I shared on socials like Pinterest. This is HUGE!

What Worked
If you have been interested in blogging and have wondered how to grow your blog, then I may sound like a broken record when I say that the biggest driver of traffic to my blog is Pinterest. Changing my Pinterest strategy literally changed the entire landscape for my blog growth. Read about what I did here.
But I didn’t just change my Pinterest strategy. I changed my whole blogging strategy and time management. I started focusing on getting more content posted on my blog. In September I posted 12 new blog posts — in previous months, I was averaging 4-5.

My strategy for getting so many posts published while being a busy mom of two boys (and homeschooling!) is just better time management. I used to blog whenever I felt the inspiration, and that usually led to me trying to write while also cooking dinner or being in the back yard. Not so efficient.
Now, I plan my posts a few weeks in advanced and I work on my drafts every single morning. I set my alarm for 6:00am so that I have a few hours before my boys wake up (but sometimes they must sense I am awake and I get 3 minutes to work on it 😅). But I usually have several drafts on the go at all times, as well as several batches of Canva graphics for Pinterest. That way, when the post is ready for publishing, I just have to fine tune it, optimize it for SEO, add my graphics and images, and publish!
My Glow Focus for October
By the time I started taking my blog and Pinterest seriously, I was too late for the fall and autumn seasonal traffic. This should be done 2-3 months in advance so that your content has time to be picked up by Google and Pinterest (pins take several weeks to take off — my most popular pins right now were published 4 weeks ago!).
So for October, while I did manage to get some fall seasonal content out, I am going to switch gears and focus on…. Christmas!! (Read the Christmas post I have out already here!)
Another thing I will focus on is recipes. Those are what are performing the best on both Pinterest and Google, and are my top performing pages, so it only makes sense to lean into this. I have so many recipes drafted, so I just have to get them published! And to lean into my Christmas focus, I will also be adding more Christmas baking recipes in there to get circulating by the holidays.
October’s Goals in Numbers
This September, I blew past my goal of 300 monthly views (I surpassed 800!) and I had originally planned to reach 600 by December and 1,000 into the new year. However, now I am thinking I can easily hit 2,500 views this month (October). Should I play it safe or go big? Maybe aim for 5,000?
Let’s play it in the middle and go for 3,500 views for October. (Am I crazy? Who knows.)
As for Pinterest, my goal was 1,000 impressions for September. In 3 weeks, I hit 5,000. By the end of the fourth week, I surpassed 11,000. This is proof that Pinterest traffic compounds over time.
A safe goal would be around 20,000 impressions for October. But I think I can try for 30,000.
October Goals:
- Blog page views: 3,500
- Pinterest views: 30,000
A Little Life Update
With all the excitement of my blog and online business taking off, there have been strides in my personal life as well. I was diagnosed with ADHD and that realization completely changed my life. I started new medication, and in just a few short weeks I feel like myself again, and like I actually have a handle on my life. My Glow lifestyle, intentional living, is so much less of a struggle. I was committed to my Glow, after seeing how it healed my postpartum depression, but I would be lying if it wasn’t a battle every single day. Now it just comes so naturally to me.
I have also been leaning into my faith and my relationship with God. Some traumatic events happened in September and I had to start seeing a therapist to talk about it and figure out the cause of some deep rooted traumas. While we have been attending church for a few months now, I decided to join a women’s group, and the companionship and fellowship has been so… filling.
And, my faith has become such a part of my daily life that of course I have been sharing it on my blog and Instagram. Despite losing followers, I feel more aligned and confident than ever.
I am thankful every single day that I decided to ditch the social media apps and focus on my blog!

My Glow Timeline
Here is a little timeline for those who are feeling overwhelmed or are curious what their growth journey could look like.
- March 2025: Ditched my mommy blogging Instagram page with 10,000 followers to create my Let’s Glow brand. I channelled my focus into intentional motherhood and natural wellness. I narrowed down my affiliate links to only the products I truly love and use every day, including Arbonne and Organika. I focused on this for about a month or two and brought my new page to 300 followers. It currently sits at 265. I also created a Facebook page for cross posting and expanding my audience. It currently sits at 24 followers.
- May 2025: Realized I wanted something more, and started my blog (read how here). Reached 225 views, with the biggest referrer being Instagram.
- June 2025: Started publishing blog posts and posting on Pinterest. Reached 110 views, with the biggest referrer being Facebook.
- July & August 2025: Had a busy summer and had a wedding (after being married for five years!). Focused on my mental health and struggled with my direction forward managing my online business. July’s views reached 72 and August’s 79, with referrers being about equally Facebook and Instagram.
- September 2025: Decided to delete the social media apps for my mental health and focus on my blog and manage my socials with Meta Business Suite. September’s views reached 820, with the biggest referrer being Pinterest, followed by Facebook and then Instagram. Search engine referrals started becoming substantial.
